Puppies & Adult Dogs
What is the best training for you?
|
We have courses for dogs of all abilities and age. They are also designed for the whole family, and we encourage everyone to join in during the lessons. Training can begin at any age and the sooner the socialisation process starts the better. Classes are fun, both for you and your dog, as well as reinforcing relationships and socialising your dog under controlled, safe conditions. You decide how far you want to go, with the option to work towards the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards in most of the classes.

Get your puppy off to the best possible start! Help prevent problems before they arise, solve problems that have already started, get a head start with training before your puppy is allowed out and about, and get professional advice about all areas of Puppy Care.
The classes are both fun and informative and will cover all the relevant exercises to get you and your dog off to a flying start. Each lesson is approximately 45 minutes, and family members are welcome to come along and join in. There are a small number of dogs in each class so early booking is essential. The lessons all include exercises from the the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards!

This is my new interactive group online course that includes an introduction to the Tellington TTouch Method, ACE free work, detailed observations, learning about why dogs behave the way they do, and relevant Behaviour and Training Advice.
The course runs over 4 weeks (7 sessions in total), and consists of zoom training and feedback sessions, homework exercises to practice between sessions, a private Facebook group where you can share videos (not compulsory) and get advice and support between lessons. Each zoom session is recorded for you to watch again and to keep you up to date if you miss a lesson.
As this is an online course, it is particularly useful if you have a dog who is anxious and/or reactive around people and other dogs, as it allows you both to learn simple and effective techniques to use when you are out-and-about, and to build trust and confidence in each other.
Note: At the end of the Calm Dog Course, 100% of the participants said that they had benefitted from being part of a group course. Those who had originally wanted to book a Home Visit for a Behaviour Consultation said that they recommend booking onto this course instead!
