Puppies & Adult Dogs

What is the best training for you?

There are many different training methods in use today and I promote only kind, positive methods in all of my courses and workshops. My classes are both fun and informative and will cover all of the relevant exercises to get you and your puppy or adult dog off to a flying start!

My training courses are designed for the whole family, and we encourage everyone to join in during the lessons. My aim is to increase the bond between you and your pet so that you can enjoy your everyday life together, both at home and out on walks. I include the KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme exercises in all of the training classes - all the way from the Puppy Foundation to the Gold Levels.

Each lesson is 50 minutes long and there are small numbers of dogs in each class to make sure that everyone gets plenty of attention and progresses well.  The courses fill up quickly when I release the dates, so early booking is essentialExternal link opens in new tab or window.

BEHAVIOUR PROBLEMSConsultations - Tellington TTouch - Calm Dog Course - ACE

I have been working professionally with animals for over 40 years, and have specialised in Pet Behaviour and Dog Training for over 25 years, and in my experience, and with extensive client feedback, I have found that a Home Visit for a Behaviour Consultation is not always the best place to start helping you and your dog. This is particularly relevant if the problem behaviour involves fear, anxiety and/or reactivity towards other dogs or people.

By starting with a Zoom or Telephone call, or by booking on to an online group Calm Dog Course or Tellington TTouch or Animal Centred Education (ACE) course, I am able to get you started straight away with specific advice and practical exercises to use in your home and out on walks. After this, in-person 1-1 appointments can be made if needed.

*It is essential to rule out any medical or physical issues that could be affecting or causing your dog's inappropriate behaviour by speaking to your vet*

Option 1 : Calm Dog Course

This is my interactive online group course that includes an introduction to Tellington TTouch, ACE Free Work, detailed observations, and relevant Behaviour and Training Advice and Practical Exercises. It consists of interactive group zoom lessons/feedback sessions over 4 weeks with the final session after one month to make sure you and your dog are continuing to progress well!

At the end of the Calm Dog Course, 100% of the participants said that they had benefitted from being part of a group course. Those who had originally wanted to book a Home Visit said that they would now recommend booking onto this course instead!

Please Note: All of the zoom sessions will be recorded for you to watch again and so that you do not miss out if you cannot attend a lesson. There is additional support between lessons in a private WhatsApp group.
Next course starting soon! - Apply for more details HERE

Option 2: Behaviour Consultations

The first appointment is always a zoom or phone call. These allow us to discuss the problems in detail and get you started with practical solutions straight away.

  • One hour initial zoom or phone appointment (£125)
  • Follow-on 30minute zoom or phone appointment (£55 per session)
  • Behaviour Consultation Home Visit (£225)
  • Follow-up in-person one-to-one training session (£80 per session)

Please note: I am currently at full capacity for Behaviour Consultations so am not able to take on new clients. Please check back here for updates or look at the Calm Dog Course details above!
